Smile Can't see odo/trip

Hi all - First Acura for me, 99 with 125K, one owner, all records, nice car! Wife wanted an ES 300, but couldn't find one in price range as nice as this TL. Only thing I've found so far is that the (what looks like) LCD display of odo/trip has no "backlight". Because it's in the dash, I assume it's (shiver)dealer time. BUT... my "other" cars for the last couple years were old MBZ diesels and they have a GREAT "list" for those who love to sniff diesel fumes. It's REALLY easy to pull the dash on W123/124 MBZ's. So I thought I'd give this "list" a try before giving in and making an appt with the stealer.

Thanks!!

did I miss something? Is there a link that I don't see? I see you have the same color we got. SWWNBD wanted the pearl white, but this one had nice wheels and Ground FX kit... it was just a better buy AND I really like the color!

Do a search on this site. I came up with: http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...t=dash+removal and http://www.n4te.com/temp/faq/ see if these work for you...

So on the ol' diesel MB list, there was a recognized part seller, that even sponsored the list. I could get parts on my doorstep the next day for what they would cost me at autozone, and usually much better quality. If infact this is a bad bulb... where do you guys get parts for these things? Is it the stealer, or Autozone for the generaic after market stuff? Or is ther someone who REALLY knows parts. This "dash light"... would be a great "test" I would think, of how well someone knows the product

what is the cause? is it because of the bulb? I know there are 1 bulb for the SS mode and 3 for the speedo section, so did one bulb go out and cause the others to go out too? Thank you.

joe-the guy with the same problem
