Ok, I'm confused now. I've been lead to believe that only those cars on their second or more tranny receive the extended warranty. Are you saying that all CL/TL/AV6 trannies are covered regardless of their condition?

Another Tranny bites the dust
I have an 02 TL-p.
Last weekend I let the car coast before stopping for a red light and it felt like I had the Cruise control on, it slowed to 40 mph and stayed there.
And yesterday it started stuttering intermittently while accelerating. I took it in today and they changed the throttle body. When they finished that, they found the tranny was acting strange, so now they're gonna change that too.
Palm Beach Acura tells me it'll be a week or so. Hopefully it won't be three weeks like other on this board has experienced.
Dammit!

I have a 2002 TL with 30,000 miles and the tranny was replaced last weekend. Dealer was great. They got the part in less than a week and had it in and running in 2 days.
I asked the service advisor about the tranny warranty and he said that my 2002 would be covered for 7 yrs/100,000 although I have not received any notice.

samkws,
Can I ask how much you paid for the 6 years ext. warranty.
When I was at the dealer last weekend... they quoted me CAD $1750 for 6yrs, 160K...
I might go for it. if I can get them to do it for $1500
Thanks
