Canadian TL ?

I am looking into making a DRL mod for my american '02 TL-S. I was curious if you could tell me if there is a DRL switch for your lights if you want to turn off the DRL's. If so, pics of the switch would also be great.
Thanks

I doubt there is a "switch" for DRLs. In canada it is mandatory so giving the option of turning them off would completely defeat the point

there is no switch for DRL, they are just there and I think we cant get rid of them without taking the fuse out. they are mandatory so like above stated, switch would defeat the purpose

ok what your talking about is the Mitsuba running light relay, its located right in front of the cruise control module under the dash. i even pulled the part number off mine for you, its RZ-0126.

ohh and you can either drive up here and find one at a junkyard or look around on ebay, either way happy hunting .. also im pretty sure the accord uses the same relay.

I am going to Oregon and Washington in a couple weeks for a 2 week vacation, so hey. I am going to try to get my ducks in a row and cross the border while I'm at it. MAYBE I will get some business done while there.
Or maybe I will see an A-SPEC. That would be cool.

People have looked into this in the past. We dont have teh wiring for it. Your best bet is to buy the aftermarket unit that plugs into your lights. Its far cheaper and easier

Yeah, I have seen threads. I know it may be silly, But I will look into the wiring and ponder it.
I will likely go that route, but will bust out the diagram this week and decide How deep I want the rabbit hole to go.

I guess just google it. Canada has many of them due to DRL requirement. They have to do it to any vehicle pre-law retro-actively.

E-bay

If i remember right, there is more to it than just adding wire, You will most likely need different multiplex's as they also control the lighting.

There is no easy 'plug & play' unit for DRLs. Wiring is totally different. Don't have the file with me ... but layout between a Canadian TL and US TL not the same in this regard.

Way cheaper just to get an aftermarket unit. Sorry.
