Can I get some of your input?
Ok.... Anyway as yall already know, I just totalled my cl 2.2 and I'm getting a 99 TL green with 90000 miles on it. My question..... Is it still worth modding the engine? Will this car last long? Is the engine of this car strong with this many miles? Thanks.

if its well taken care of, it'll definitly last another 100,000 miles. you should check if the car was well maintained, oil changes were done at the right intervals, etc, etc. but once you start modding out the car, that will increase the chances of your tranny going.. you only have 10k left before the extended warranty on the tranny goes.. so its a risk, maybe if your tranny dies before 100,000 miles then youre lucky, so you'll have a new tranny and if you drive like a normal daily driver (keeping it under vtec, not using the shifttronic as much, not flooring it every single start), then you might not have to change the tranny at all..
i have a 99TL, my tranny went byebye at 73k. who knows, maybe yours was changed sometime too?? but then again, a tranny problem on a 99tl is very rare. its up to you, take your chances. its really fun to mod out the car, though.

Tranny problems are EXTREMELY rare.. I've only heard of 2-3 on thisd board... and 90,000? that is nothing.. jsut remember to changed the timing belt and waterpump.. well I just changed my timing belt and no pump since its still good..

ASSEMBLED TO PERFECTION
i had tranny probs went through 2 already, im at 88k now. Bought it at 67K Besides the tranny problem, the car runs great. I would get some kinda extended warranty, because after 100k, if ur tranny shits on u, the bills going to be on u.
If you dont mind me asking how much are you buying the car for?

Three Wheelin'
Put it this way, I'm at 190,500 miles and I've had mods for 4 years and this motor is unbreakable. Switch it to Mobil 1 or Amsoil and have a ball. Put on a tranny cooler for peace of mind. I still don't use any oil, or at least not yet.
