CAI - Good entrapment??

I want to get a CAI to complement my exhaust headers. However, I don't want to sacrifice filter efficiency for a modest power gain. Oil analyses in Bill Miles' database suggest Honda engines seem to have higher than average wear rates. The last thing I want to do is exacerbate this with a lousy air filter.

Does anyone know of some filtration tests done on the CAI filters and how they compare to stock? For example, I've read on this board that the K&N drop in filter has questionable efficiency, but what about the filters in the CAI's?

Thanks,
eCo

clean it and re-oil each 15,000 miles and you should be okay.

This is exactly why some people would want to go for FOAM drop ins (example Comptech Ice box or drop in air filter).

Personally I have a K&N CAI.
