Talking Bye Bye Tls 1 Down 1 To Go

Just but a new 2003 honda accord ex v6spd and i am not disappointed and looking forward to trading my other tl. The new accord is a killer, i am a very big fan of the TL-s, but i have to say that the accord 6spd blows it away easily as far as my kills so far beat a AT g35 and passat and that is counting..... accord is the fastest honda produce car out there right now... besides the s2000.... sorry TL-s you were getting slow on me

I beat my friend's G35 AT Sedan at the track in my TLS so that's no big deal. Also, remember that I've been driving the TLS since May 2001. Your Accord is much newer technology and a completely redesigned generation. I'm sure its damn fast but two things:

1. I have not yet lost to a EX v6 6MT (only ran 3 of them)
2. You'll be slower than the 6MT TL, which is more comparable to your car in terms of age, technology, and manual transmission.

I am not kicking the TL-s back in, but according to the encounter I had with 1 TL and owning 1 for myself the TL is lazy coming off the line as oppose to the av6 6spd. Numbers never lie Car and Driver test drove the car 0-60 @ 5.9sec. oppose to the TL type S 0-60 in 6.5. Quater mile 14.4 av6 and the TL type S 14.7. and even w/ the new TL which I believe the type S would be faster w/ modds is a bit slower than av6 0-60 6.0sec.... hey vandy not questioning your kills but there is no way a TLs is gonna beat me even on my worst day .. i hate to say because i am a big fan of the TL but being realistic ... i am sorry there is no way the driver would have to be very lousy.. gear ratio are too uneven for the accord to lose to a 5spd AT TL-s ..... any how good kill if you are telling the truth.....ps i forgot about the nsx .. my bad

2fasttls, if you raced the 04MT TL I think you would catch a beat down. I don't think it's fair to compare the "new" Accord to the "old" body TL.

I have no gripes about the styling of the new Accord, yeah, everyone is going more rounded these days. In 2000, boxy was in, obviously because you bought into it. It's decent, but put the 04 Accord to the 04 TL, not the 04 Accord against the 03 TL that's been around 4 + years. Step up to the plate if you feel the Accord is on the TL level. That's all I'm saying. An Accord will never feel like a sporty sedan like the TL (regardless of how big or "boxy" it is), Maxima or G35. It's just not on that par. But I will give it #1 in comparison to the 929 or 626 whatever Mazda has to compete with it, the Camry and the Taurus and the like.

2fasttls:

We all knew that you've often shown us you are full of shi+ and said some pretty m0r0nic things, but your current "downgrade" purchase and post proved the point perfectly (oo, alliteration even). How about coming to Florida and running me?

Dood, you now have an ACCORD of which you become braggadocios on a TL site! What fu(king possessed you to think you were gonna receive anything but flames?

Downgraded because he couldn't afford the TL is all I can come up with. How can you even feel comfortable comparing the two? Oh well, to each his own. But believe that crap won't fly here!

Type S Lady reason for the accord purchase was that I wanted to stay with Honda, so I brought the lastest thing out. Now as far as affordable...... lol ... lets not even go there, face it its not like you have a Benz or BMW but like i said before lets not go there. I would never compare the accord to a TL, but on the other hand the av6 out performance any acura except (nsx) and is build to perfection unlike the 2nd generation TL (tranny issue). I needed 4 trannies and i decided i had enough.... as for you r10apple you must love driving around town with the yellow light on and back to you type s lady go do your homework or better yet start doing your dishes..... read car and driver and then post them on this forum maybe you would realize how duMB you sound .... av6 0-60 5.9 and the 270 hp 04TL 0-60 6.0.... .1 is equally to a car length for those who dont know ...lol.... 04 TL is trying to complete w/ the BMW, G35 and Audi ... but where is the rear drivetrain ...lol .. you guys are really smart ....

Splitting hairs

Well the cost of a Honda v6 MT6 coupe is pretty darn close to a CL-S MT6 ~ 1700 difference (with 1500 incentive right now puts em about even)..

Of the two though I do think the Honda looks better (IMHO)..but you get limited slip with the CL-S and this is the last year for the CL right? Pretty sure you won't be seeing as many CL-S's as you will Accords

Accords are very good cars, after all, what's a TL? a Honda with an American badge call Acura.
With that said, Acura was created in the US because WE like a higher quality more sophisticated/exclusive line of cars that set them appart from the rest.
I really don't think that you will get as many doors open with an Accord.
Also, even with the TL sharing platform with the Accord, that's the extend of the similarities.
You are right when you talk about its performance but if thats the only reason you downgraded to it might as well get a Camaro SS if bang for the money is what you were looking for.
Good luck with your new toy, now let the big boys play in here and go find and Accord site.

Bozo, then what are you doing?

You think ANY manufacturer in ANY year builds a perfect car? Stupid.
as for you r10apple you must love driving around town with the yellow light on
Very vague retort--lame, too. Besides, it's a red light in which I'm waiting for you and your lame-a$$ Accord.
type s lady go do your homework or better yet start doing your dishes
That was kinda funny, but not really. I'll give you some pretty good odds that she will kick your a$$, oh, and beat your Accord, Mr. Andretti.
read car and driver and then post them on this forum maybe you would realize how duMB you sound .... av6 0-60 5.9 and the 270 hp 04TL 0-60 6.0.... .1 is equally to a car length for those who dont know ...lol....
Actually, .1 seconds at 60mph equals 8.8 feet, but why pick at you you big 'ol magazine racer!

If you reread your posts, you will realize how stupid YOU sound. It's even more ironic that 2fasttls is now 2muchshi+talkingabouthisnewav6accordonatlforum.

My supercharged Mercury Villager, I believe is the best bang for the buck. Bought it for $17k brand new, dropped a S/C for $4k, and now i do 60 in 3.9 and 1/4 in 11.9 @138mph. Basically I hang with the big boy Corvettes and Cobras and Porches. Plus I can seat 6 passengers comfortably.

are you kiddin? I hope you wouldn't actually put a SC in a van. That's like me putting NOS and Brembo Gran Turismo's on my mom's Ford Windstar. Well maybe the Brembo's would cure her "brake's failed" problem. The brakes in that van are not only ****, they're f*cking dangerous. There's been a couple situations where my TL-S would have stopped 100 ft away from the guy up ahead, and I nearly slammed into them with my windstar. F*ck I really hate that car.

A manual will always beat an automatic if the cars are comparable. This of course does not include idiots who can't shift.

I think the new accord is nice but the CLS6 will outperform it on the track or on the dragstrip, which would be its direct competitor from the Acura lineup. The CLS6 has better suspension and hlsd. As far as mag racing, its best times have been 5.9 to 60 and 14.1 in the quarter. As far as real life, they range from 14.1-14.6 at about 97-98mph. What has your accord run?

Dude, too bad you don't live anywhere near here, and if you do bring you Accord to the track on Nov 8th. We'll see if you can hang with us. I've already beaten several "trade-rag faster" cars . . yours would be next.

If you are going to insult me at least learn to read and write first. Have you been at the track? what are your times son?

Secondly I'll "rice" you for money and we can meet halfway or even in your backyard...NY isn't it? We went through this before and all you do is talk sh!t and then back down. I'll be in NYC this weekend so if you have the balls let me know and I'll meet you down there!

Oh and do you plan on bringing the Accord or the 3.5 liter SCed TLS?

Oh and what exactly did you mean with that "sorry charlie" comment?
