bumper scratches/speckles
OK,
I dont know if I"m the one who has this problem, but I travel alot and I've accumulated probably hundreds of microscopic to small speckles on my front bumper...due to debris from road, bugs, and so on....
whats the best way to get all these speckles/scratches/tiny chips from the bumper
should i follow the previous posts on getting the wet sand paper/rubbing/polishing compound/wax system...and go over the entire bumper?
or do I need to go somewhere and have them repaint/rebuff or watever they do on the bumper
BTW, i just got a front nose mask ..and plan to use it when I travel long distances...but how do i get rid of the current imperfections....
thanks for all the help.

I think your best bet is take it to local bodyshop or handcar wash and have them sand/buff the whole bumper for you. I am sure it'll not cost too much other than buy the material and do it yourself.
Make sure call them first and compre price for buffing bumper only. Good Luck!

The front of my car looks sandblasted too... What it creates on the bumper are small pits, and I believe that they are absent of paint. Buffing will only remove surface scratches, not pitting. I think only repainting or spot touching-up will help.
You could try a coat of the color match waxes to fill in the pits for while; I've tried it on my other black car and it does look better. Let the wax dry good before you remove it.
PS: I have pits going all the way up to my windsheild; the bra doesn't cover there, so you might leave yourself with a funny line after a while (at least its uniformly pitted now...)
