Breaking News!

I was planning on a 2003 TL-S late next year when my current lease is up. Now I'll have to wait to make sure they didn't screw up a good thing. I'll be at the Chicago Auto Show in early February, maybe they'll have something there. If so, I'll post plenty of pics for you guys.

I can't say where I'm getting my info from, but it's insider info.... The 2003 will be coming out in March. Nav's will get On-Star, and Antricite on all models, however I cannot confirm anything beyond there except that Acura is no longer building the 2002 TL, they've totally haulted production and are running 2003's now, so if you want a 2002 you'd better grab it, because the dealers shouldn't be getting anymore in. How drastic the 2003's changes are beyond the On-Star and color option I have no idea.....

If they change the Accord, the TL will change too. They are not going to be able to make the new Accord and the present TL within the same factory, the tooling is different. The factory will be updated to the new tooling for the new car, there not going to have the capacity or produtivity keeping both.
I knew it was going to change soon enough. After all it was just a refreshening of the TL(2002). It's been around since the 1999 model year, it seams just about time for a change Yes it may suck for us when the new model comes out, but it's just the way it is...at least it's better than the electronic/computer market. As soon as we buy something, it seams a new one or version comes out the next week

I honestly can't see Acura redesigning a style that is all of maybe 2 years old, considering that the Accord is going on almost 5 years. What will they do with all the remaining inventory knowing full well that interest will decline rapidly for previous models costing only a few thousand less ? They didn't sell every one they made and I can only imagine all the trade-ins they'll have stuck on the lot.

2002 has all the same sheet metal as the 99-01, only had front design modifications (lights, fasica) 2002 was not a redesign year, if that is what your thinking

You guys never know, our TL's may look much better than the new ones. The new ones may have better engines and better, technology, but we may have the last of the good looking TL's. Dont forget, styling is taking a downward spiral for car companies.

Talked my dealer 2 days ago, and yes they do say that both the TL and CL will be completely new for 2003. They're already gearing up for the changes, but other than that, no other information yet.

HOLY SHIAT! I sure HOPE AND PRAY that the Zeal Suspension I ordered 2 weeks ago will fit the new design. Most of all, I am PRAYING the rims I ordered will fit too. I'm pretty sure about the wheels, but man...hope that suspension fits too.
Once my lease is up...looks like it'll be time for a 2004 TLS!!!! Wooooooohooooo! Switch mods over and there ya go. New pimp ride.
Hey Tim, do you know if the suspension I ordered will fit the new redesign?!??!

If I would decide to get the new TL, it will defenitly be TL-S with Navi!! But like always, I will wait a year or so, so that Honda will have time to work out all missed bugs. All new cars have them.... just my $.02

All you guys with the 2002TLs think of it this way. Since the car was only produced this one year with the new front end, there will be fewer of them around. That makes our cars unique and rare. Lolz. Just trying to cheer everyone up. Hehe.

What if the new design is RWD with a 3.5L V-6 talk about screwed. Also It think it bad for 02~TL's because it will limit the aftermarket participation if the model was only around a year or two. It does open up options at the end of leases!!! 6 Speed I hope!!!!

The more and more I think about it the more shocked I am.... But now that Tim has said the CL will be all new too it makes more sense... I wouldn't expect the TL to be redesigned until the RL and the CL get their redesigns.... I'm still a little on the scepticle side about this information. Until I see something at a tradeshow by Acura I think it'll still be up in the air, but the line being totally changed to 2003 MY and not delivering until March is making me lean towards the possibility of this happening. We'll all see soon enough I guess.

And for those who want a 2003 TLS, then i hope its ugly! Hows that for being a bad sport!!
Also Acura is dumb as $hit if they redo the hot selling TL and NOT redesign the RL, thats kinda dumb to me.

But I agree they might up the HP, on the new CL and TL. Looks like I will be one of the RARE TL with a 260hp engine! CLASSIC!

O.G.
So I guess all the 02 TL/TL-S people got screwed worst than the 01 TL people. Thank god mine is a 99 and it stayed the same for a while (more than a year:p ).
Damn, I was set on getting the lexus gs series in a few years but now this might make me change my mind (depends on a lot of issues of course). I can't wait to see a whole new design for the TL-S and the GS. Bring on the war!

NOOOO!!!! THIS IS SO MESSED UP!!! Grrrr! This makes me sooo curious on how the model looks like. I finally settled on a damn 2002. And someone said they haulted production on it? They better FAWKING NOT! I can't get the car until MID JAN... I think I'll stick with 2002's...since the design was only out for a year. but seriously....too EARLY! TOO QUICK! I want to get my ever so rare combo!
