It is true, I have known for a little while now but I had to order mine before telling everybody else, sorry guys. Acura of Bellevue WA. has access to the 99 body kits for a hell of alot cheaper that anywhere else I could find. Origionally, they only had a few different colors. But now I have spoken with people in the parts department and they have a new supply (sounds like Acura is allowing only them to sell the remainder of the 99 body kits). I asked about a number of kits left and was told I shouldn't worry about it. They have a body shop near by that has agreed to paint the parts to match any color you need(assuming regular Acura colors).

The total would be $580, painted. I don't know about shipping for everyone else but I mine is coming to Canada, so the shipping I'm sure will be different.

I hope this news floors some of you guys the way it did when I heard, body kits for 600bucks WHOOOHOOOO!!!!

You can get most color 99-01 Kit for around 600 from Ray Laks (1888RAYLAKS). Acura of Bellevue is pretty stupid, when I ordered my kit about a year ago ($416 shipped, don't you love deals?) they asked if my car was Premium White when I order Taffeta White.........Premium White is a RSX color. Then a friend of mine called and they said they don't make kits for 99 TLs and wouldn't sell him one..............geez. Then people were ordering kits thru Acurapartspeople.com and the website said $16 but real shipping cost was $130+.............again geez. Did I mention that the warehouse for the kits are on the east coast..........it goes to them on the west coast........then to you. Shipping takes a long ass time 2-4 weeks.

It doesn't sound like they got a new cach of kits to work with......sounds like they are going to repaint the parts to whatever color you need, since they are running out of full matching paint kits.........wonder how good the paint shop is and if the colors matching is ok.

Even tho I got my kit from them..........I still think they are idiots.

Why not just order it from Ray Laks... since their service and shipping time is A++ in my book. I mean I paid 832 for the kit shipped which was the cheapest at the time I ordered, Im sure they are less now? Do they not have it? And this was after HZM told me about it. Even if it is a little bit more money, to me it seems headache free.

I think the Front Lip is just a little different, where the Front Lip on the 02-03 requres to drill 2 holes. Everything else I believe is the same.

Hello! Man, I had 20 emails asking about Gen 2 body kits. Didn't even find them until today. I have a laptop that I keep all my work info on and I had left it at our other dealership.

Anyway, I can get some kits at that price. Basically we are dealing with a color and availability issue. Some of the colors that were continued till 2003 are still pretty high, but earlier colors are discounted drastically.

The items I sell are Genuine Acura, because, well, I'm an Acura (and Volvo and GM) Parts Manager. I've been selling on eBay for the past several years. At first it was just items that I needed to get rid of due to overstock situations but now, I get requests for all kinds of items including hard parts (non accessory parts.) Anyway, I'll try to look up everyone's requests tomorrow and see what's available and at what price.

I'd love to find a deal on a NBP '03 TL-S kit. Looking to get a kit this summer, but they're $830 from Ray Laks still ... If the kits are as cheap as the '99-01 kits are, I'd jump on one immediately.

the Black one is Tatewaki's TL, we swapped lights, I think mine looks better with the crome in the lights and his def looks better with the black. I can't wait for a nice day so I can wash it and take some good pics.

Does anyone know what the price for a '03 TL-s kit would be? I doubt that '03 kits would be as cheap as the '99s.... if ya'll get word, hit us '03ers up, I woulod love to get a kit for my ride....

I know of some '03 owners who have bought this kit for this price, and either altered the front bumper to fit ( drill two small holes), or ordering the 03 front seperatly the other three parts are identical.

I ordered my 03 WDP kit 2 weeks ago for $832 shipped from RAY LAKS. I think he has the best prices rite now for the 99-01. My friend ordered his kit last week for his 99-01 for $402 I believe. The price includes shipping.

talk to Mickey (a female) at Acura of Bellevue Washington. it was a total of 599 american shipped and painted my colour. I expect to get a bill from customs sometime for 50 bucks but that should be it. Check the prices at RAY LAKS shee if they will beat it. Guys on this site speak highly about the guys from RAY LAKS, I think Tim is the guy that they deal with. It doesn't hurt to shop around, all I can tell you was it was under two weeks and the kit looks great!!!! Good Luck!!

I order my 99TL Body Kit from Tim at Rays for $400 Shipped an unpainted. I place my Order 4-12-04 an got it less then 2week(4/20/04)
Also find a Bodyshop to paint it Satin Sliver for only $300 Since Satin Sliver hardest color too Find.....

The kit was 399 + 100 painting + 100 shipping. That's the deal I got, you should demand the same deal. try talking to Mickey in the Parts department, she was the one I delt with. Ther was a guy named Tom that I delt with before her, but I wa told Tom had left that dealership. When I first talked to Mickey I told her the price that tom told me, the 399 price. she then told me about the painting deal, I was origionally going to order it the wrong color and paint it.

I don't know why they are being tight. just tell them the price you know others got it for. I can't see them arguing too much when you know others got it for that price. ..

yo, same here, what the hell is going on... I called some guy named Mark and asked for Micjkey and he told me that she hardly works in that department. The prices he qouted me was 1269 for the OEM kit for my 2003 TL-s. The price for the 01 is $903 +shipping.... so where is the discount in that????

Some of ya'll have stated that the only the front is different on these kits, that is true, every other piece is the same damn thing... so, tell me is the front lip really worth over $360 +shipping?!?!? Hells no.... Even then my math is wrong since the prices qouted inlcude the front lip... but ya'll know what i am getting at.....(just subtarct the price of the front lip for that year from the price I qouted)

03 TL-S kit = $1269 (minus $150-200)
01 TL kit = $903 (minus $150-200)
Difference = $366 (same damn result)

You can get a front lip alone for like $150 - $200.... He also said that the $580 kits they have been selling are the Leguna green ones, isn't that a discontinued color as of 2001???? Residual is this the color you got?, apparently not since you stated that they painted it your color....

Well, for those of you like me, we may be shit out of luck, but they told me to call back and talk to Johnny Wu and he might be able to help.... I think he is the one that runs the promotion.....

Residual might have just lucked out and got the last freakin' one..... damn sommabitch
