Question brakes squeaking - remedies?

got about 28,500 miles. had the rotors replaced. brakes seem to do an inordinate amount of squeaking, although, there doesn't seem to be any loss in braking power or shuddering when i brake.

in the past, i remember hearing, that it's probably due to dirty brakes/pads. is this true?

do you guys have any other ideas, and what i can do to get rid of the noise?

perhaps wd-40? any suggestions would be helpful. thanks!

WD40 on brakes? That's a very bad idea. 1) WD40 is lubricant so you'll loose braking power and 2) WD40 is flammable.

What kind of squeaking are you getting. I have some squeak when the brakes are cold (rust on the disc). As it warms up it goes away

Lightbulb

Pads are glazed from excessive heat --remove pads and refinsih with a fine sand paper- or replace pads---

My break squeaks too. I think it's the rear. That doesn't mean the break pad is gone. It just means that there might be some dirts there. The next time you wash your car, make sure to spray the break pad and clean out some dirts. Yeah, about the WD-40, I think you should listen to what the guys said above. You will lose break power. This is like driving with no brakes. Not a good idea. I've heard someone said that there is a break silencer on the market, but even that I wouldn't even use it on the break. Your safety first man. Just turn up your music a little bit more....

honda bakes are made so that when they need replacing they start to screach and make a noise. replace your pads.
