Mine too at about 30K and the dealership re-surfaced them free of charge. They still admit that the car has cheap rotors. Now I am 34K and feel a little vibration. I haven't had time to complain. I think I might need to do so.

Take the car in for service and tell them the car shudders when you brake hard. Give them a story about a grandma pulling out in front of you and you had to brake hard or hit her. Make sure you say the shudder only happens when you emergency brake, or brake really hard. Under normal driving conditions you don't notice anything (right???).
My dealer replaced the rotors and the pads under warranty, no questions. I think there is a service bulletin for this. Good luck.
