How's do the brake feel? Does the car stop any better/faster? How much did it cost for a pair of calipers...do you need differnt brake pads or are they the same as the current TL's?

hey minh,

the brakes feel much tigher and it does seem to slow down a little faster but i haven't pushed it yet.

it cost me $45 per caliper. you don't need to replace anything else if you just want to do the caliper swap. the stock mount bracket is used and the stock rotor can also be used.

I did a complete front brake replacement (caliper, rotor, pads) and it cost me $75 per rotor (raceconcept), $120 front brake pads (endless), and $5 for brake fluid. total $365 + tax.

the only speciality tool for the complete replacement is a impact driver to remove the rotor (mine was stuck)

it took about 3 hours to do the complete swap in my garage...

thanks to 850ex for the info on the swap being possible.

the genII legend gs calipers are 2 piston calipers just like the nsx ones without the nsx logo on the side.
there was an earlier post by 850ex about the specifics of the caliper cylinder sizes and how much larger surface contact there is versus the stock tl ones.

you can get the calipers from

junkyard...need to rebuild probably...not as cheap as it seems
dealer...very expensive

or the cheap way (via experience with a z32 to s14 brake swap)

goto autozone or kragen and special order the calipers for $41.99 (your price in your area may be a little different) + $60 per caliper core charge (you can return your stock tl as a core...they can't tell the difference..hehe)

you probably need to get some copper gasket washers if you just plan on swapping out calipers...
