brake and rotor warranty

i found the link that someone posted with the picture from Acura for their service dept that has the symptoms of warped rotors and the work order number for the dealer to cover the pads and rotors under warranty. now i have lost that link and can not find it again even through the search.

so. . . .can someone post that link again?

if you dont know what i'm talkin about tell me and i will try to make it clearer

thanx

You're talking about the TSB for the rotors...I have a copy of it on my desk right now! It's posted on the other forum...acura-worl d . com...just remove the spaces and the dash...it should be one word, but it is a banned word here.

E-mail me at johnnyb_s@yahoo.com and I will send you the link, or go to the other site...it's under the CL forum and the TL forum. Good luck.

Click here for a link to the link...

Brake Rotor TSB

Sorry, it won't work unless you replace the *'s in the address bar with a c u r a w o r l d...they won't even let you post a link to that site

Don't forget to remove the spaces from the banned word...

If you go to the other site, you can actually see the exact TSB page that the dealers were sent and print it out, complete with warranty info and pictures.

If I could post pics, I would copy and paste it here...

I dunno. I know that specific TSB referred to the '01 model (which is my car). My friend has a TL-S and had the same problem. He was supposed to take it in to get done. I think a lot of TL-S owners have had it taken care of.

Does the warranty only apply to the front brakes? The TSB doesn't mention anything about the rear brakes...

if the dealer is not a bastard like my dealer, then i think they will try to help you out. remember, always ask in a nice way, don't demand. AND be prepared with information so they know who they are dealing with: an informed customer.

It doesn't mention the back brakes because they are not a problem. Only the front brakes have this defect...
