I plan to change OEM Bose radio with Jensen VX7020 on my 2003 TL S which has 205,000 miles.

I can remove the radio, solder Metra harness connections and install it.

Where I got confused is one thread where there is a mention using existing subwoofer with new radio?

Is that essential step to connect additional wiring to existing subwoofer?

Please advise
