Bosch Platinium +4 spark plugs

Hey,
Does anyone use bosch platinium +4 spark plugs on Gen2 TL?
Well, I bought these spark plugs for my TL-S, but I don't know if I got the right ones for my TL-S. they are probably the same ones that TL-P uses, right?
Do I have to take the whole cover off to get to the spark plugs? Is it hard?
Anyone felt better gas mileage after using those spark plugs?
thanks.

i wouldn't use anything other then what the factory recommends. Except if your squeezing or turbocharged.

Well... I already got those bosch platinium +4 spark plugs.. Will it be bad for my TL-s? Or better than the factory ones that I have now? The reason I'm replacing them is because I am getting horrible Gas mileage.
Also, how do I get to the spark plugs in the back?
thanks in advance.

You'll need a swivel adapter for your socket. It's a very tight squeeze. I had to remove a few items that are clipped to the upper strut bar to get my hand in there.

hey acura-tl,

how long have you had your spark plugs installed ?? mileage.

akinaboy,

its best to get factory spark plugs, NGKs. no aftermarket is better than the spark produced by the original factory sp recommended.

i had bosch +4 installed on a bmw once...fine for the first hundred miles....then, cylinder missfiring ...resulted in changing out a camshaft sensor. erratic low idling...eventually, changed out the spark plugs and i was a happy camper.

just my experience....

Questions about the Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs

Ok, today i just bought a set of Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs. I have read some older threads, including this one, and have found out some things about these spark plugs that really concern me.

1.If i install these Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs in my 99TL-p that runs good right now, WILL IT FUCK UP MY ENGINE AND CAUSE IT TO START MISS FIRING IN THE CYLINDERS AND SHIT???
2. Are these spark plugs considered HOTTER SPARK PLUGS that i shouldnt be using in my 99TL-p? or are these considered Cooler Spark Plugs?
3. Will these spark plugs last longer then stock?
4. Will these spark plugs give me a Bigger Spark then stock resulting in a little better performance?
5. Last of all, will these spark plugs improve Gas Mileage and ARE THESE JUST SAFE TO PUT IN THE 99TL-p??

I wouldnt use them (just my opinion) I would use either NGK Iridium or platnum, or Denso.

1. Maybe
2. a "hot plug" has a long insulator nose & a "cold plug" has a shorter insulator nose
3. NO
4. Yes but No
5. No, Denso U-groove Iridium...much better

Sorry for the hijack, but anyone hear any differences between the NGKs and the Densos? I've heard that the Denso Iridiums last longer than the NGK ones.
