For those in Illinois,

Does anyone know of an affordable but reliable body shop in Chicago ( or outlying suburbs)? Someone made a big scratch on my rear bumper. Erie-LaSalle body shop in downtown Chicago quoted me $550 which sounds steep. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I've used the Acura of Libertyville bodyshop. They have the only factory authorized bodyshop in the midwest. I've also used them when my wife smashed our previous '98 Pathfinder ($2,500 in damage) and when someone backed into our Land Cruiser ($2,300 in damage). Every time they have done a great job, I highly recommend them. I can't speak about their prices since each time it was insurance work and I wasn't paying the bill.

They are also a preferred body shop for many insurance companies.
