Body Kit...

I haved my TL for a year and a half now. I'm considering getting a kit, but I was wondering if it would look wierd since the paint wouldn't completely match...

What do you all think?

Thanks for the input

Where are you buying it from? If you buy it prepainted from the dealer the paint should match very closely. Besides the car is new enough where the color should not have faded that much...you should be fine.

YOUR RIGHT THE PAINT WONT MATCH BUT THATS COMPLETELY NORMAL. LOOK AT ANY NON-METAL PAINTED PARTS COMPAIRED TO THE METAL BODY PANALS AND THERE IS A SLIGHT DIFFERANCE. THIS IS MORE NOTICABLE ON ANY OF THE PEARL PAINTS.

U're right. I installed the body kit a month right after getting the car last year and there's a slight color variation (anthracite metallic). U can see the slight color variation even on the spoiler that I had the dealer install right on the same day I picked up the car. It's natural. It's not that bad. I say go for it & install away.

My advice is, buy the body kits from this site & intall them yourself. If you want the spoiler also, then buy it straight from the dealer and have them install it, as holes on the metal trunk panel got to be drilled. When I asked the dealer the cost for the body kits, they quoted me over $2000 dollars ($1000 for the parts and about another $1000 to install them) :wow: ...

So, as I mentioned before, I bought the kits from this site & had my brothers help me out with the install (all 4 pieces took over 3 hours to install, as we wanted to be very careful. Instructions on how to install all pieces are on this site. Do a search). Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Go for the Mugen rear wing instead of the OEM wing (just IMHO). The rest will look great. I did the exact same thing.
