That was the total cost, $70 installed? Do you need to get all the wiring harnesses as well? I've actually got a set of 3 series markers laying around since I upgrade the ones on my 330, I'm wondering how those would look on my AV6.....hmmmmm.....give me more info on how to do this!

its easy, drill a hole, run wires from your turn signals, voila!

installing bmw sides would be the same as installing any generic ones you get from nopi, etc.

shouldnt be any difference.

Well actually there is smartguy...........the sidemarkers themselves only come with the plastic piece and the bulb connector. They need to be plugged into something! Maybe it is simpler than it seems, but it looks like there are a few other parts that are needed possibly. I got the replacement markers for my 330 from bavarian autosport, but I just popped the old one out of the slot and put the new one in, so I guess I'm not so familiar with the process. Maybe the whole whole kit (not just the replacements) come with the harness and whatnot, or maybe there is another way to do it.

sorry, but i'm not sure what you mean by "bulb connector"

if by that, you mean the plug for the bulb, and it has two wires coming off it, then you do have all you need. like i said, all you have to do is run those wires into your turn signals. this will wire them to come on with your left and right blinkers.

alternately, you can tap them into your driving lights, but personally i think thats a bit rice. thats up to you though.

if the marker doesn't come with harness, than what is the "bulb connector". I was assuming it came as a full set, but maybe its just the housing itself? i guess this is assuming that you already own a 7-series, and just cracked the lens.

what you can do, by some cheap generic set that have the same sized harness, and use the 7-series lens.

on the 330 (not sure about the 7 series) the bulb is preinstalled in the sidemarker. There are not wires to connect, you simply plug the connector into the marker itself. It's just like a connector you your turn signal, etc. You have to plug something directly into the bulb if I'm not mistaken. It's been about 6 months since I did it on my 330, I was just curious to see if the stock markers from that would be somehow able to be put in my AV6......I'm not really sure anymore if it's gonna work or not though. I guess it's possible, but I don't wanna spend that much money on my beater car! (although I do love it!)
