In germany they are 10-15% cheaper, mainly due to the transportation costs to US. It costs about $2K to transport BMW from Germany to US. In fact, you can go to Germany and pick up BMW, in the end you will break even considering ticket costs and transportations.

For most of us, money is an obect and a pretty important object at that. For those of us that it is not, just go and buy a Bentley. It is utterly senseless to spend extra for less in any rationale. What do you think a TL would be like for an extra 10 grand? And please do not mistake what I am saying, I like Bimmers. But I, like many of you, could just not justify paying an extra ten spot for less room, less power for a car just because it is a BMW. Like some of you stated before, leather and a sun roof, options? To me that is poor customer service out the gate. I say this because it is their job to make the car buying experience as painless as possible, and making me sift through option after option of things I definetely want, while also giving me a neck cramp as I watch the price go higher and higher is not my idea of an enjoyable buying experience. Give me a luxury car with luxury features and a high end option or two like a navigation system. My, my. That last statement sounded like my TL didn't it!

I think Bignard's post sums up this thread and also makes for a good ending to this thread. The debate over the TL-S vs. BMW 330 will continue on and on in this forum but at the end of the day it comes down to price. If you can afford the 330, you should buy it over the TL-S. If you cant afford the 330 (or dont want the higher payments) then the TL-S is the way to go.

This is true.....BMW offers a European delivery option that allows the customer to go to Germany and pick up the car. The cheaper price of the vehicle pays for the trip, and they get to drive the car in Europe which would be pretty cool.
