I currently have a '97 BMW 328i. Prices on the 2nd generation TL's are looking pretty attactive right now.

Are there owners out there that have had a BMW 3 series and a TL? How do they compare? (BTW - I think the 328 is a very different car from the E36 325. - I've driven both.)

Also, If I can't find a TL-S, what are the top 3 bangs for the buck for performance tweaks on the TL. I'm espeacially interested in brake upgrades. From a Road and Track comparo about a year ago, it looks ike the TL hangs right in there with the BMW 330, and Infinit I-35, etc. EXCEPT for brakes - that would probably be an upgrade to do sooner than later.

PS - Never had an Acura before. But had a couple Preludes, and my wife had a late model Civic for about 3 years. All very dependable cars, that handled great.
