so i've been wanting to blackout my 2001 tl's taillights, but i cant seem to find a '01 tl taillight cover. Without using the spray, is there a way to black them out, i was thinking regular window tint but would that work? thanks

doesn't look too bad, only thing is I don't like how it looks when the lights are off in the day time, it'll work but most likely they'll bubble since they're out in the heat so much.....unless you use titanium tint

I had some experience with the rockblocker tails that I bought for my CL. The material is not the same as your avg tint. The material is MUCH thicker. A good friend of mine runs a tint shop (www.freewaytint.com). The material that it is made out of has a much higher resistance to heat. If you try to shrink your avg film (LLumar or SolarGuard) you can apply light heat with a gun. This material we found to be able to just take a heat gun for several min no problem. So as far as the bubbling goes, just get it on there and smooth it out. We seemed to find that heat (and lots of it) worked great. Any other comments, corrections? feel free I have only done one set of tails.
