i saw "blackac" has blacked out headlights. Are their headlights that i can buy that are blackedout (smoked out). I no of a spray people use to smoke the tail lights but never heard of the headlights being smoked. Or can i do it myself and save on buyin the headlights. Also the amber reflctors make my car look too stock. Any suggestions of getting them smoked out or spryaed over or removed completly. I heard of poeple sending the headlights out to be serviced by a professional in cali. Anyone hear anything? Thanx

 

that would be me,, i opened the headlights and painted them black where it use to be chrome, do a search and u'll find steps on how to open up the headlights, heres a pic of them,,

 

ya shit looks tight as a mutha.... can u please help me out to finding them steps on how to take aprt the headlight. also wut kind of paint did u use . and the paint on the side amber reflector.. can u tell me bout wut you used, and etc..... once again that shit looks fuckin nice and i have the same car as you... 2000 black/black ,.....and that pinestrip makes your car look even nicer man.

 

If you haven't cleared your headlights or taken them apart before I don't suggest doing them by yourself for the first time. Get somebody who knows what they are doing sit back and watch and help out when needed. As for somebody doing them I wish I could tell you who it is who does it but that person is banned from the site and their name is not to be mentioned. I will tell you it rhymes with Fist Her Lips.

DYI...i did them before, not to my TL though.

1: take em off (take bumper off and unscrew, unplug headlight
2: heat in oven over a towel @ 300*F...mrZPZ said 350*F...(insert whole headlight with ballast, it wont melt/damaged)
3: with flat head screw driver, ply thru silicon, it'll be hot but soft, make sure the silicon dosnt touch the clear plastic...it'll F*** it up.
4: After is open, take the orange difusers out
5: put back together and seal with new silicon.

To black out it should be the same exept you paint the chromy stuff black (it all comes apart so you dont get the clear part black...

He was advertising his service on this site (pretty much running a business) and said he would pitch in for the server since that's what you're supposed to do. Then backed out and said he was gonna put up a site of his own after makin lots of sales on acura-tl/cl.com. I'm not bashin the guy from what I hear he DOES do an extremly good job on headlights and gets them as close to factory specs as possible (they can't be the same once takin apart) He's not doing it the right way according to Acura-tl/cl advertisment rules.
