Black vinyl roof overlay

Black vinyl roof overlay
I'm thinking about either painting my roof black, or getting a black vinyl overlay for it...I think I wanna go with the vinyl over paint, because its not permanent, right? Also, I'm sure its cheaper.
I've done a little bit of re-search about the vinyl, but still have a few questions.
-Whats a good vinyl to get, for workability, durability, etc.
-How much am I looking at price wise for a roll large enough to do my roof on the tl?
I've searched around on here and couldnt really find any pictures/info...I've looked on google and ebay, and from what I can see nobody sells pre-cut overlays for our cars.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Our windows dont line up the greatest for black roofs. Dont attempt vinyl yourself. Its A LOT harder than just placing it on. The roof curves in many directions, you will have to stretch the vinyl to get it to fit. Plus trying to find a piece big enough will be hard. You wont want a seam.

Our front and rear windows don't line up good for a black roof

What do you mean, it just doesn't look right due to the window fitment?
I wouldn't attempt to do it myself, but how different is it than applying window tint? From what I have found, its comparable. I've done tinting with no problems.
Also, would a shop be able to get seams to line up almost invisible?

The glossy vinyl roof look great and will match well with the dark window tint. Blk roofs will not be a fad. It's a way to blend the full panel sunroofs with the rest of tho roof so it looks fluid It'll update your 3rd gen to todays trends in the automotive industry. It's kinda like a home owner updating their bathrooms/kitchens to todays styles. I'm going to do mine too... This is why i tinted the windows one shade darker than i normally do so that it blends/flows with the roof and the GM wheels I plan to purchase.

BMWshadowline.com, they sell 48" wide sheets whatever length you want. I just did mine and it came out better than I thought it would. I think I paid $60 for the piece. Wasn't that hard either, wet app took about 3 hours. As far as the "window line" they also have 3" or 4" strips. I did the roof first, then the channels that come out super easy and then taped off the arch so that it looks like the 3rd gens. Second best color for it is wdp so do it up, you will love it.
