Black Chrome Emblems

I'm thinking of installing black chrome emblems on my silver TLs and am asking if anyone has done this themselves. Is it difficult to align the letters properly? Is the adhesive easy to use? Are the old ones easy to remove? I know, a lot of questions, but if anyone could help I would appreciate it.

Mike, if you have a 2002 TL-S like your sig suggests, I think were sh!t out a luck about the emblems..(even though I only have the "A").

I think the black emblem kits are only available for the '99-'01 only. Believe it or not, 2002's and up have a bigger size "A" then the prior years and the "A" is the only thing that has guide pin holes into the sheetmetal. All other pieces are simply double stick tape only, not both.

I'm not sure where the "guide" holes are on the "A", even if you were to cut the pins off the emblem, I wonder if the holes on the '02-'03are wider then the '99-'01 .

I believe you are able to cut the pins off in the back. I took off my 99 A sign and put on the 02 A sign.

2002

I noticed that the black chrome set sold on this site is only for TL's up to 2001. Is there any where we can get em for the 2002?

Thanks for the feedback. There used to be a local company that did gold plating for some of the dealers here. Also when I bought my BMW 330ci the dealer offered them to me as an option. I will try to find them and let you know the results.
