Cool Big fing Tires etc

Ok guys I have driven the type-s for 3 months now here are my observations
1 Love the engine sounds sweet great power cool shift stick
2 Love the interior/stereo/seats etc etc
3 Hate the suspension feels like I am diving when I brake
feels like a Cadilack northstar.
4 hate the tires 215s please this thing has 260 HP what was Acura thinking?

Questions
What are the biggest 17" tires/wheels with offsets that can be put on this car without rubbing with new rims? If you have big tires respond I dont want any "Well I heard you can put 335s but im not sure" replys

What are the biggest 17" tires that can be put opn the stock rims
without having riduculous bulges.

What is the best way to stop the car from diving when the brakes are being jammed on. I think this is also a byproduct of the 60/40 weight bias of the car.

Body roll is a bit excessive but I think if I could stop the diving I could live with it.

Thanks in advance for any info I am still glad I bought this car now it's time to make it handle

Re: Big fing Tires etc

I have 18x7.5 wheels with 225/40/18 tires mounted on them. I can have 5 people in my car and stuff in my trunk with no rubbing what so ever. I was worried about rubbing which is why I didn't go with wider tires (some people have 235s, but had slight rubbing issues) or a bigger wheel (some people do 19s, but that wasn't worth it to me).

If you want improved handling you should:

1) Get 17x7.5 wheels with 225/45/17 summer tires (If you want a mix of performance/looks go with something like my setup, no performance benefit of going with 18s but look better, IMHO)
2) Get comptech sway bars
3) Get <insert favorite brand here> springs

Nice post trippin. I agree 100%. Oversize tires are primarily a look thing, although 225/45 is ideal. Perf tires/antiroll bars/springs will allow the TLS to handle much better than any number of fat-ass cars that want to look tough (sheep in wolf's clothing effect).

Agreed - Springs stopped the diving, sways stopped the body roll. I'm not as worried about the tires...mostly cause we don't have a lot of options without increasing the distance they stick out from under the car. I've gone to a 7" wheel with a 53 mm offset which helps.
