I did have the pleasure of driving a 2010 challenger SRT in 6MT for a month! what a wonderful experience! at the time, the Challengers were new and the SRT was rare on the road.
I got so many thumbsup's and nods! loved the 6.1l engine!
smash the skinny pedal and sideways i went!!

still tho, I'm not in a point in my life where I'm comfortable paying for 13mpg....lol

 

I kind of see where he's coming from. I mean it doesn't matter how much the car costs, it's what you love. And he loves the 2G TL-S most.

Like if I had 20 million to blow on one car I wouldn't go out and pick the most expensive one, say a Veyron. I would go pick up a right hand drive Skyline R34 because I love that thing

I am assuming without looking it up to be certain but I think your talking about the deep royal blue color? I think it looks really good as well

But what about firepepper pearl? You dont see many tls from any of the generations on the road in that color and it looks great when all cleaned and waxed!

Do you guys know if they stopped making TL'S in firepepper pearl color after like 2001ish????????

I personally love this thread, I have received great feedback on our beloved TL's and it's interesting to find out some news about why people love what they love!

 

no he said a similar thread got shut down in another forum and I said that sucks.

 

They both are great colors. I have to say though, I don't really see a lot of the Blue pearl or Firepepper red. I see mostly Gold, Black, White and Green.

 

to be honest with you, its not that great of a thread because;

people are going to be biased. it doesnt leave too many options to give opinions because there is only one answer.
MUCH like how you all liked your 2nd gen better than I like the 2nd gen.

2nd Gen made the TL popular, 4th gen drove people away.
I have seen ads basically giving away the 4th gen and no one is buying.

 

2nd gen is the best because this is my daily driver and really can't look past this car right now. Drives great I am not complaining.

Unless somebody drops a Ferrari in front of me my 01tl is my favorite.

they've been with me for over 20 years.

 

2000 FPR TL here I see them all the time in FL (2Gs). The red was changed to redondo red for later years in the TL, I think. Also, FPR color was in the 02-04 RSX line up if I remember correctly.

 

Yeah man, but after 20 years I sorta grew outta my old Levi's.....sometimes ya just end up giving them to Goodwill !!!

Dman00tl - your right I see way more of the other colors than the firepepper red and the blue color. like more of the white/gold/green/etc.

 

I chose 2g b/c it has more class, im about to lower it and itll look even better. 3g is more performancy. Ill probably end up buying a 3g and keep my 2g

 

Super biased but 2nd>3rd>4th.

No opinions about the 1st gen. 2nd Gen because I came to love the styling. I like the 3rd gen for power, styling, and 6MT option made me weep a little because 2g didnt get the option. 4G is hideous in my opinion but more power, 6MT, and SHAWD leaves me a little envious.

Has more class in example = 2G doesn't look like a buffed up CIVIC.. Sorry if that hurt some feelings but the 3G doesn't look luxurious AT ALL looks Sporty and sport only.. Live with it.

Acura got it Easy to create the 3G TL:
Get a Civic > Insert a V6 > Modify some Body Panels to make it Sporty > Insert some Technology and Leather > Call it a 3G TL
