I think I want to put an exhaust on my TL for sound. I want a sound more like the G35, but not too loud. What exhausts do you guys suggest?

what are you favorites for the money? would it be better to go custom?

axel back or cat back? i saw the comptech axel back for the 99-01 TL was around 650.

IMO, comptech, Apexi ws2 or a custom magnaflow exhaust are the best sounding for exhaust setups but 600 and up for a "replacement" doesn't seem to push me towards it, I'd rather save that up for other mods.

The stock exhaust is free flowing enough so you won't gain HP. I would suggest getting headers and the Random Technology cat and deleting the two resonators on the piping.

Most people just remove the two resonators to get the sound of the g35. Cheap mod doesn't effect emissions or nothing like that from what I've read here on the threads.

I'll be looking into doing mine next weekend.

I'll look into it. I'm getting my oil changed, tires rotated and my brakes molycoated tomorrow, i'll ask my tech what he knows about the stuff. I work at the acura dealer anyway so i'l talk to a few techs.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice you were in the area. and you're my age. haha. I work at Karen Radley Acura. I'll have them take those puppies out if it doesn't sounds like its super hard to do.
