Backup of My Own v2.30a Navi DVD
All:
I am trying to backup my PURCHASED v2.30a Navi DVD for my own use. I'll be using the backup in my '01 TL since the summer temps in Palm Springs, CA have damaged more than one audio disc in my trunk-mounted changer. In other words, don't flame me for doing anything illegal. This is a disc that I purchased and the only copy will be used by me. The original will be stored at home under the comfort of air conditioning.
I've tried using Alcohol 120% to make an image on my hard disk and then burned the copy out to a RiData RiTek DVD-R DL at 2.0x on a Pioneer DVR-111, but the Navi didn't recognize it. I might try the Verbatim DVD-R DL next since someone seemed to have success with them on an Optorite burner.
Any suggestions?
