Question Back Seat Protection, from Dogs?

Just ordered a Silver 2003 TL-S, NAV, and am looking forward to it arriving at the end of this April.

I've got 2 large dogs (Black and Chocolate labs), that like to ride in the back seat of the car. I'm looking for advice on back seat protection or covers to keep the dirt and claws off of the leather.

On my other car, I have a very nice cover that hooked over the front seat head rests and the back of the back seat rests. It made most of the leather inaccessable to the dogs. This cover was designed for the other car and is not generic so it won't fit the TL.

Anyone know of good back seat covers for the TL, or have any other advice other than asking the dogs to wash and wear gloves before entering the car?

Thanks much.

Steve

I think there's some nice SHEET METAL at home depot that could be custom fit.

A man's love for his dogs. You are a good man, Steve. I applaud you for your daring and loving attitude.

I, however, could never bring myself to allowing animals anywhere near the leather.

I have a 45 pound Viszla who likes to put her front paws on the center console, her back paws on the rear seat, and her head out of the sunroof. It is a crackup to see her lips peal back at 55mph and her ears straight back! I have had no problems with the leather yet but I keep her nails trimmed. You might try cabelas.
