Back on the Road....Finally!!! (This ordeal comes to an end!)
Hello everyone,
Today I finally got everything put back together for the 3rd time and I was crossing my fingers as I backed out of my driveway.
Initial test drive (around the neighbor) looks very promising. The transmission (MGSA - JDM) shifts really smoothly and seems to have a lot of power.
I also like the tighter steering since I have removed the power steering speed sensor pump, it feels a lot better this way in my opinion.
I didn't have time to get out on the highway before work and I wasn't brave enough to chance it taking the car to work so I will do a more thorough test drive tomorrow.
I think I can pretty much remove and install transmissions on an Acura TL blindfolded now....
It's been a ton of work to get this car back on the road and hopefully I won't have any issues with it for a while.
I have some minor interior stuff to put back together from adjusting the shift cable and will finish that up tomorrow as well.
I cannot imagine what the labor costs would have been had I not done it myself, probably more than the worth of the car.
God knows my aching back cannot take anymore work on a car for a while.

Mine goes up to Paul here in NJ for my AV6 transplant on Fri. I can't imagine having to install and then reinstall like you had to. I was going to attempt it myself but with winter and not enough time and space I'm letting Paul do it.

It would be hard though up North where you are without a shop to keep warm.
Hopefully this transmission will last for a while but if it fails I'm going to the AV6 as well.

Drove the car to work today, runs great and shifts good. Going to change the fluid to Redline after I flush it a couple times with this cheaper Castrol fluid.
