B Pillars?

I've searched the threads and found the DIY on R/R the B pillars (the gloss black plastic covers on the outside of the front and rear doors) - some people repaint, some buy chrome... but i haven't seen where to go if you just want to get new ones? (factory gloss black)

Anyone know the best place to get them from? The clear coat is flakin off and I am limited in time so I might just buy new ones (otherwise I'd take them off and re-finish them my self but with 2 young kids my free time is way limited)

Is the dealer the only option? By chance does anyone know how much they cost? Some dealers charge more for their parts/labor than others....

I ask about the dealer option because my SRS light just came on and I have to take it to the dealer next week - so I figured now would be the time to ask....Do I just get the B pillars there or does someone have a better suggestion?

Thanks again for everyone's time and response.

You can get new ones at the dealer. Most likely they'll have to order them though.

If you do want OEM replacement, get them here, it's cheaper than dealer:

Personally I'd save my money, and put some vinyl overlay on them. Easy, cheaper alternative to refinishing them. It'll save you a lot of time too.

plastic stores like TAP or a vinyl sign making company will carry many colors of self adhesive overlay, from black to carbon fiber-- for a few dollars a foot
iirc the dealer ones- which will also peel- are 50 each
and its a few hour job removing panels to get to the b piller- its not a slip and slap install like overlays

use caution with the vinyl overlay route-especially if you get the one from ebay. You have to make sure the bpillars are completely smooth and free of everything before applying them. The vinyl is the same thickness as a decal or 100hp sticker.

not only are they pricey but you run the risk of having them fade again

I just got fed up and ordered chrome pillars last night. Had them painted a while ago and started looking crappy again. As much as i hated putting more chrome on becuase i liked how it looked with windows tinted dark and that being black, i would rather put on chrome then have them look ugly.

Are the B pillars the same for 99-03? If so I might have a lead on something.... If you guys would be so kind as to confirm the years in which the B pillars are the same is it just 01-03 or 09-03? I'll dig into my contact and see if we can get some used ones cheap.

Thanks
