Axeman signing off. Thanks for everything
Well all...it has been great hanging and learning on this board. There have been WAY too many folks that have been over-the-top nice to mention
Today though, I received the dreaded news that the tranny is gone on my 99. I tripped the CEL and TCS lights and was hoping it was just the EGR system, however the dealer showed me the codes as tranny failures. In addition, 2 of the 4 motor mounts were toast. All in all the final repairs would have set me back almost 6 G's YIKES!!!
I drove it to a dealer down the road and bought another car (not an Acura though...Toyota this time). The acura dealer had the codes cleared on the car so none of the lights were on when I went to trade it in. Over all, I guess I am OK...3600 on the trade for a car with 141k on it.
Thanks again for everything. I will still lurk from time to time on this board just to check in.
Have a great weekend

Good luck with the new car, man. It is too bad that acura does not care about honda/acura owners. They should have honored the repair for the known problem, or at least provid a goodwill discount on the repair.
