AutoStarter Aftermarket alarm system?

I've been a little worried about my TL, as many in my area with similar cars have been broken into, HID lights stolen, Tires and rims stolen etc...

Anyhow, I have looked into a lot of alarms, and came across a company which only deals with car alarms. After discussing the many possibilities of protecting my car, the guy said the best way to go was with an Autostarter aftermarket alarm, which also includes the remoter engine starter, 6000ft. range, unlock, lock, trunk release, and also the 2 remotes which communicate at all times with the vehicle. He also assured me that the horn could be used at the time that the alarm is set off.

Do you guys recommend a system like this? BTW is also has shock sensors.

keep in mind this will overwrite the factory alarm, however the factory alarm can still be activated with the acura remotes. Therefore both alarms can be used.

btw will this void my warranty?

Alarm won't void warrenty. That's the same setup as I have for my car. Remember you'll also need either a burried key or the code reader for the install. How much are they charging you?

yah he did mention to me that as of 2002, the TL's have a transponder which you would need to get around. This is why it would be more expensive to install it into my car then it would be in your 1999. Plus the guy seems quite reputable, and the nicest guy ever to deal with.

I was on the phone with him tonight for 1h10 min discussing the possible products, and I finally came down to choosing this one. Most likely I will have this installed by this weekend.

Feel free steve to come take a look once it's done.

Take Care.

Jeff.
