autopage alarm- any good

I prefer DEI alarms. They manufacture Python, Viper and Clifford Alarms. If its for a car you dont really want to spend too much money on, get a Viper 560 alarm w/remote start. That is basic. They also have the same alarm w/o remote start, which should be cheaper.
The more expensive ones are the 2 way ones, which will have an LCD remote/pager that will visually tell you whether the car is armed/unarmed, started/off and more. This option is a little bit more.
And then obviously tere are add on components that you can add depending on how much protection you want, for example glass sensors, back up battery and such.

this one is LCD page upgradeable with 2 way like you said. Its for my 4x4 truck so I think I will try it out and see how it goes. Good prices are hard to pass up sometimes.

Compare it to a like wise model in the DEI line up, and see if its worth the price difference. Auto security is only as good as the secuirty unit and install job, so be careful. Even the cheapest DEI alarm, the Python series should be better than a lot of the other alarms out on the market.
