Auto Insurance in Ontario

my TL bros.

any recommendations for Auto Insurance companies in the Toronto area. i just got off the phone with Pres Choice and they aren't able to cover me because of my Suspension Mods. do the Ins companies here actually do a comprehensive check on vehicles??

ive just recently arrived from BC and my coverage will run out next month.

appreciate the info.

don't tell them about your suspension mods.

oh shit, you're from BC!

dood, keep a BC address, and lie. Keep your public Insurance, your rate will at least DOUBLE by moving it to Ontario.

I actually had higher insurance rates in Alberta than in Ontario.

Give Meloche Monnex a call. They have some great rates and when I was shopping around for home and auto insurance they were a fraction of the others. It also helped that they are affiliated with UWO and I got a discount for that as well.

Meloche Monnex will get you to take your car in for an inspection but they dont look at anything other than dents and scratched on the body.

I just renewed with PC financial... I think around $1500... and I never said anything about mods.. The last company I was with told me that as long as its < $5000 and not Electronic equipment (stereo, dvd etc)... it will be fine...

Beside all my mods are from Acura Woodbine... so all the invoices are dealer invoices

i called PC Financial First..... if i dont mention mods and they asked specifically if you had mods done, dont you think that the insurance becomes null and void if an accident actually happens.

insurance is for peace of mind right....

Uhhh ... I'm going to close this because this belongs in off-topic > car-talk.
I pay $1500/yr in auto insurance (with $500 deductible and I live in Windsor, not Toronto!!)
