N E one know if GT Styling makes one of those rear window shade/deflectors for the TL? I've seen some on TBirds & Mustangs and I think they look good on cars without spoilers....
also... ne one know how those auto Low/High beams systems work on for example, Lincolns?
I know they have an eye mounted under the Rear view---is it a simple few wire thing?
I think that'd be cool in the TL too--I loved that feature in my Grandmothers ol' Linco....

I think they sell kits that can do this, but I've never really looked into it before.
From a circuit standpoint, it should be really easy to make a light-sensing headlight. You just need a photocell to detect the light change and a transitor and a couple of well chosen resistor values. Then you'll need a relay to switch the headlights.
So go buy a kit, it shouldn't be expensive at all.

WEll in the Lincolns...
There's the headlight nob...
its a push pull type and you can either leave it in auto headlight mode (come on when its dark or std. headlights)
Then, the turn signal stalk, you would pull toward you to activate high beams, again to go back to low OR... push it forward and then the photocell mounted on the rear view will sense oncoming headlights and turn them down to low beam, car passes, back to high beam... it sounds simple and antiquated, but it works great!!!
and i love it
allows me to steer iwht my right hand like i like and hold my cappuccino in the other
lol
