I am so sick of my 99 TL radio not playing any burnt Cds...i need to know where i can either get a new 02-03 bose radio or what other options i have to fix this? can i put an aftermarket headunit in ? do they have kits for that ? will the bose speakers work?

I also have a '99 TL, it plays burnt cds....when it wants to. I have had near perfect luck when I use the Memorex brand of blank cds. Also on the radio thing, I just could no longer stand the terriable sound of the stock system, so I am in the process of replacing EVERYTHING.
But yes you could add an after market cd player, but it would mess up your stock system, cause its all BOSE and its all integrated. I do believe that the only mod. you can do without being extensive is a straight swap of the door speakers with some 6.5 inch coax. This will improve sound...some...but it wont help the issue with burnt cds.
Good luck, and if you have the $$$, gut the whole thing and start from new, you will like this the best.

i like the sound of the bose system but i just hate the cd player...do you think that replacing the speakers in the door is really that good? do i need another amp to run them to get max performance?

just by replacing all speakers should make a big difference... it all depends on what type of speakers... Bose is very good for an average joe...but if you want that extra clear sharp sound, get new speakers and maybe a new sub.
of course, if you buy the cheap $75 speakers, don't expect it to be mind blowing, but if you upgrade to something like focal, Infinity perfects, MB Quarts...etc... it's a noticeable difference.
