hey tim, wow when i heard this i was going crazy. my uncle, who's in the import export services came over to our house today and gave me a rear view mirror, like the broadway ones. but one this was different. the glas was EXACTLY the bluish hue that the mercedes have. i've read a couple times that some people on this site would like to have these. so i started talking to my uncle about the possibilities.

he told me about how his contacts can provide the glass and cut it to a certain template for us. this means, mercedes blue mirrors for any car out there!!!! hehe being a loyal little guy i am, i immediately thought of the TL family.

the only problem is that he can only provide the glass. i was looking at my helms manuals and it shows that there seems to be an "actuator assembly" that connects to the glass. i have no idea what holds the mirror to the actuator and whether it can be replaced.

ok i'm like super excited for my TL brothers. i WILL try to get a picture asap. too bad i didn't think of it before the TL meet or else that would've been great. i'll bring a sample of the glass to the TL meet up in the bay area to see hwo the members like it.
