Atten. Toronto TLs - good dealer service
OK, This is a wierd story.
My company just bought our 3rd TL, a black 2001 from Sherway Acura in Etobicoke.
We drove down from Ottawa last Wed in my 2000 TL to Toronto. My partner was going to pick up the 2001 and I was going to stay in Toronto till Saturday.
When my partner drove off in the 2001, a really strange noise started after about 10km. He went back to the dealer. The dealer decided to replace the entire transmission on the new car. They paid for my partner to stay in a hotel and paid his meals.
The next day (Thurs) he left in my 2000 TL, with the plan that I would drive back on Sat.in his new 2001. After a few km he turned back. My car's defroster had stopped working and it was really raining and foggy. He couldn't see where he was going.
Again the dealer put my partner up in a hotel and paid his meals. On Friday, his 2001 was ready and he drove home - his car is now great.
Unfortunately, they couldn't find the problem on my 2000 TL. However, as I needed the car to drive home on Sat., they offered to give me a 1.6 EL. I would drive to Ottawa and when my car was finished they would drive my car to my house - about 5 hour drive each way- and take back their car. All at no extra charge.
In the end their mechanic solved the problem at the last minute and my car was ready Sat. am.
By the way, they also repair 3 holes in the leather seat for $70. My local dealer quoted several hundred.
The service advisor was Jeff and our salesman is Tony Primerano. Tony is the guy who makes sure everything is done right. Very good at customer satisfaction.

That is the acura dealer where Kingston Honda ordered my TL. Kingston Honda said that they are the best people to deal with and that if there is ever a problem, they will take 100% care of it.
I am glad that there are still good customer service dealers around..
