I read up on the previous posts for this on the forum... I hope its just nasty gas.. I'm lamenting here because my other friends aren't exactly car people and they probably wouldn't understand.

hrrm.. another little piece of the puzzle. sounds like an interesting theory. maybe thats why chevron seems to be the only gas that my car likes. I have been using it exclusively and the rough idle went away. unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) it stopped during my service visit to the dealer. The service rep specified possible "moisture in the fuel" and that if the check engine light doesnt come on, then its not 'too serious' at the moment. He said that he used mobil without problems so I hooked up some mobil. BUT guess what? it happened last nite!! just briefly. grr. oh well, will switch back to chevron and see what happens. the weird part is, I have a 2001 TL and according to that thread, it shouldn't have been affected. but thanks for the link. I didn't see that one.
