Anyone Raced a 2K2 Max???
If you drive a TL-S, you would no doubt give the Maxima a hard run...My TL held pretty good with the Max, with only an intake...Its hard to admit it, but the new max is serious competition...This guy tonight saw my TL, and I saw his HID's but I couldnt tell what it was...Anyways, I stomped the gas and pulled out in front of him to get around this slow ass...Then he hits the far right lane and tries to catch me...My car was already ahead and im doin about 70...By the time I drop to 3rd we were neck and neck, but I had to shift to 4th and that is when he pulled hard...We both came to a stop and I turned off my TCS, and we go at it again...I got a bad ass launch at the light with mad wheelspin, and we were neck and neck in first...When my car shifted to 2nd I pulled on him, and when I threw it in 3rd, he pulled on me about half a car...I shifted into 4th, only to see him pull ever so slightly out of my torque band...I was pissed, but hey it was fun as hell...And the max is a great looking car bringing serious competition to cars like us...Sure you guys think that car isnt like our car, but I stopped and checked his $hit out...Its a very nice car, and the dude traded a 2000WDP TL in for it...That's why he was sweatin my car cuz he said he had never seen a fixed up TL like mine...Anyways, just thought I would share my pain...Shyne

2002 Nissan Altima
The 2002 Nissan Altima would seriously give the TL-S more competition than the Maxima. With only 240hp and a lighter smaller car, 0-60 in 6.28 sec. And it supposedly handles tighter than the new Maxima.
I still like the luxury ride of myTL-S
And the Altima has alot of options where the TL is all standard.
YEEEAH babeee. Thats one groovey machine.

Good run inspite of the lose.
I'm sure there will be some who will claim the guy didn't know how to drive it otherwise he would have whipped you. ;-)

O.G.
Don't feel bad Shyne. Actually, you did pretty good considering you drive a regular TL with only 225 hp compared to 260(?) hp.
BTW, was the new max an auto or stick?
Just wait for the new TL to come out or wait for the 6-speed.
Either way, it will all come down to the driver's skills and reaction times.

The max was an automatic...I know reaction times pretty well and I can spot a car in my rear who wants to race...Most of the time I will beat them, because I know who to pick on and what to do...I thought I could pick on the max, and it was fun until I saw his ass fly by me going 90+...I just knew that I needed something else...Oh yes, I smell a mystery mod purchase coming about...Headers anyone??? Damn, even after all that $hit ill still be gettin wooped on...Shyne
