anyone know what grade sandpaper to use to...
remove brake caliper paint? it's been on for a LONG time, like 2 or 3 years, i just want to change the color to black. I'm going to sand them down but i have no idea what grade paper to use. if anyone knows of anything that may take the paint off easier, plz let me know. thanks.

Burning Brakes
If you're just trying to rough up the surface for repaint (which it sounds like you are) then 80 might be alright so long as you don't press too hard. 120 if you want something more forgiving and don't want to do a lot of finish work.

you wont need to remove all the paint. just scuff them up and get rid of any loose or chiped areas. i would say any thing above 120
