Anyone know if the Honda Inspire in japan has the same tranny issues??

there was a person on the board who said that the same type of problems exist in Japan

i can believe that, especially if this transmission problem was a product of design flaw, not production quality

in addition, i believe on the dealer invoice, it indicates that our transmissions are among the parts imported from Japan

i've had no transmission problems thus far
just crazy electrical problems
but that's my fault i guess

I thought the trannys were made here in Ohio or something...correct me if I'm wrong.

i saw the same thing...the sticker said the tl tranny is from japan.

OK... did some reading.. trannys from Japan, everything else here... final assembly is in Ohio.

What about that article a while back stating that a company near the Marysville, Ohio plant was producing the transmissions for the Accord/TL/CL ???

Engines are assembled here in the States. Transmissions assembled in Japan. Cars built in Marysville, Ohio. Says so right on the window sticker, and info has been backed elsewhere, several times.
