anyone interested in c/f hood?
#3
I am very interested in a C/F Hood. I can only find it for the 99-01 TL's. Not the 02. Sucks that the new 02 RSX can have it made but not the 02 TL. If anyone has info of where to get one, please reply!!! Thanks...

O.G.
I just read your other thread about c/f hood and I found the answer I was looking for. Damn $625 for a c/f hood is too much for me right now. Also, is it painted? I have a black 99 TL.
BTW, are you looking for a group buy for a discount or is it just something everybody have to do themselves?

the guy told me that if i can get 5 people to buy the hood he can give me a break. i am supposed to call him back tomorrow and find out. i didnt think that price was that bad.......what sucks is the $100 shipping cost. i will let you guys that are interested know what the new price would be on the group buy. i am definitely getting one regardless and i think that there is one other that will get one if the price comes down a little bit. i think there may be some room to maneuver with this guy because i asked and he said he has never sold a tl hood before. and it is not painted but looks like carbon fiber (because of the obvious reason that it is carbon fiber)

c/f hood
i dont think this should be a problem because tim does not sell the c/f hood but if he does have a problem i apologize in advance.
the guy that i have been talking to set up a groupbuy for the hood at www.groupbuycenter.com. Just type in acura tl on the left hand side and it will take you to it. i have called all of the distributors of the hood and the next lowest price that i have found is $600 + shipping and retail is $700. I believe this is being set up for $525. All of you that are interested should buy from here because i have spent a week and a half looking into this and this is definitely the lowest price. anyone who has questions can call Jason @ (318)-573-1884. You can also PM me or email me at courier@helios.acomp.usf.edu

no link to groupbuy... because Tim might get into trouble when it turns out to be a fruad...
but then again, I ain't no mods, and I personally hope that mods will leave this thread alone...
If I had the money... maybe I would spend the $$$ on a CF hood...
but do they have the cut out for the windsheild cleaner injector/spray?
and when we lift the hood up, do you still hold it using the 2 hydrolic (spelling?) thing?

the hood still uses all of the stock hydraulic parts and the latch in the front is built into it. judging from the pics it doesnt look like it has the holes for the spray nozzles.

it would suck if it does have the cutout for the spray nozzles...
