Have you tried anything from eBay?

You get what you pay for.

I bought a set for my 95 GT mustang several years ago and did my 01 Cobra recently. I would recommend it for a cheaper car, I would not recommend this for our TL's. If. You have worked with any precut vinyl or tint, the cut is not perfect. I would recommend taking your TL to get them professionally tinted. You have no regrets and it will look great!

Yea. If you're worried about the price just save up a little more for it. It will look so much better in the end. Tint really isn't something you can easily just take off and try again...that will just cost you more.

Totally agree with all the post above. The cut is not exact. you are better off buying a roll of window tint from Autozone.

One suggestion if you are looking for an inexpensive way to do this is to check your area craiglist for a mobile window tinting service, they drive around with inventory in their trucks and have lower overheads as they will perform the services in your driveway. Good luck and Don't buy Pre Cut

If you haven't done it yourself before, it's not that easy as shown; especial the rear window. The doors are easy to do.

Good luck on install. Mine came out great except for the top part of the rear windshield. I might end up puttin vinyl on the matrix dot portion, but other than that mine came out perfect. I didn't use pre-cut tho so let me kno how urs turn out.

precut tint is nice because the patterns are already cut. but you will never know what type of tint you are getting unless you see it come out the box. you dont want to be a victim of tint that turns purple and looks like shit after a few months . removal is a lot harder than installation. i would first make sure what brand of film it is first.

dyed- this film will give you the least protection from sun rays compared to the other films and is usually used more for privacy than protection. this film will look black when applied. some of these films will also have a blue tint to it if you look closely.
metallic- this film is basically in the middle protection wise. gives a higher standard of protection and it can interfere with radio and gps signal if your antenna is build into your window. this film wont always have that black color to it. depending on the shade you go with it can give a grey look when applied
ceramic- best performance wise, blocks the most sun rays compared to the other films but it is very expensive. I have heard of a full car costing up 500 to tint. this film is made with ceramic and will not give you the black look. it will look more like a mirror when applied. this film can also interfere with gps signal and radio signal if you antenna is built into your window.

AutoZone tint is guaranteed to turn purple

I have ceramic huper optik 35% all around. it was quite pricey but I enjoy my tint A LOT!
from far away it does give the tint a reflective look to it, then as you come up closer to the car turns into a dark shade.

could be, could also not be true. i would honestly return it and get it professionally done. the previous owner did mine, and you cannot find 1 imperfection, especially on the back window. im 99% sure they took the window out, removed the rubber weatherstrip, tinted it, and replaced everything. i always get complements on my tints(: its not really somethin u can just put on yourself without having experience. but its up to you, most of us told you it wouldnt be high quality. correct me if im wrong guys, but most professional tints can be like $150-250 and are definitely worth it. wait for another 100 bucks and you wont reget it. just my .
do as you wish, but if it is not as good as you expected, youll be kicking yourself

its really depend on the skill. if you don't have much experience you gonna mess up and with pre cut you really don't have spare when you mess up. buy roll its cheaper and you will need extra for the one that mess up . I did!

I'm not an expert but I've NEVER seen any tint look one color out of the box then change to another color after it's been applied. I've taken several cars to have the windows tinted and every time it's pulled off the roll it's the exact same color it is when it's applied.

I think you're going to regret putting this crap on your car. Then it's going to cost you more to remove it and have it replaced with quality tint. In the end you will have spent quite a bit more than if you had just gotten good quality tint in the first place.

I remember my friend bought some 20% tint from eBay and after 3 years the color faded real bad to the point that it seems as if there were no tint on the car. I helped him to remove them so that he could put new ones on, and to my surprise the adhesive was crap as I could hold it on one end and pull the whole film off with ease leaving no glue on the windows. At least it left the windows clean.

i wanted to do all the windows except windshield but the rear window didn't wanted to stick to the glass so we had taken that off. one advice to all ziners never get the tint from ebay.... it can never match the professional tint.... i may keep this for a while and save up some money to get it tinted with quality film....

Finally took the tint off the car. I can't believe that it came off real easy. All the glue was on the film and didn't even have to clean my windows after taking the tint off. Saved $100. It's time to get the professional tint in few weeks. 35% tint all around to keep cops away lol

When it comes to tint, it ain't worth saving money by avoiding a professional job with a lifetime "bubbling" warranty. I can't believe all the vehicles I see on the road with bubbles in their tint. I bet they're kicking themselves in the butt for going the cheapo route. Save money on other stuff....but not tint.

I think you will like 10% on the rear windows much better.

I say do whatever you want to do. I've been tinting for a while now just for fun and i honestly could care less for "professional" quality. I am not willing to pay upwards of $250-$350, average price here in MASS. I bought my kits from Precision Window Films on eBay, i don't like Nusolis, and i've had great experiences with the former. the tint itself is fine, it's how the tinter handles and installs is what makes it. I've done mine in garages and in driveways and can say i've gotten better, by that i mean i suck less haha

anyways, for example of eBay tint, here's pics i took just now. I'm at work and it's currently cloudy and about 34 degrees here in MASS.

i have roughly 25-28% sides and 35% rear...solely because i am suck of tickets! i know there's slight bubbles near the edges but hey, for $20 i dont care...this car isn't for shows. and the rear, i heat shrank a corner too long and it crinkled so i had to do a makeshift 2 piece job. i've had this current tint on since december 12 because of my last ticket, but before that i had ebay tint for a few months to a year, never experiencing purple or fading issues--except with Nusolis tint. --overall i'm satisfied, it does the job and it didn't cost me 350 jr bacon cheeseburgers yum

Nice job. I can't believe the cops are harassing you for rear window tint. They must have nothing to do. If I was in charge, I'd put them on garbage pick-up duty.

The tint I had was fading but it didn't change color or bubbled. It was only 2 yrs old. When light went through it; the color was like charcoal brown which I didn't like. On rainy or cloudy days it looked nice lol. I started hating my tint because when I saw other professionally tinted cars, there tint look so original and perfect without any defects. I found this guy who is giving muti-car discount. He charge $175 and uses Suntek or Golar Guard film with lifetime warranty. Do you guys have that tint on your car? If yes please share the pic so I know what color it looks like when light shines through it.

Idk about the atr, but llumar tint is some awesome tint. I've had mine for over Three years and it's still black. I really enjoy how you can easily thru the tint from the inside, it helps so much at night.

Fyi, my car is always parked outside and i live in so Cal

I have the ATC series, 15%VLT, paid 140, the 5% would have been either 160 or 180, but I was not willing to pay that much for it at the time. If you look at the chart the METALLIZED series is NOT good for signals. IDK if that matters though....

As for ebay precuts, don't get them. The quality is shit. Tint is more about the product, not of the labor.

The only way you can see the inside from the out is if the inside had some light shining in from i.e. thru the front windshield/dome lights/navis/other untinted parts.

OUTSIDE PICTURES WERE TAKEN AFTER THE CAR WASH

Outside(see my shiftknob to get an idea of how much you can see thru):

Inside(dirty window, don't worry about the spots):
