anyone ever take out their lumbar support?

my mom just got a TL-S, and she cant stand that lumbar after a few minutes of driving... even when it is in all the way. i dont wanna spend $240 to have the dealer take it out, so i'll do it myself. is it hard?
anyone do it? are there any other options?

You can take it out!

The back of the seat (the part with the pocket) pops off. Just pull the bottom part toward the back of the car - and it will pop off. The top of it is held by some plastic hooks that just hold onto the top of the seat.
That lumbar support is a joke when you see it - I shoulda took a pic when I had my seats out! Anyway, it's just a piece of plastic that pushes the foam in the seats. That plastic is attached to a metal bar that's attached to the handle. Rinky Dink man!

If you take it out the handle may no longer stay in and you might just have an empty hole in the side. But if you can live with it, then cool. But I'm sure you can get it out. Let us know how it goes!
