anyone with a 99TL swapped intake manifolds?

the 2000+ TL has a redesigned intake manifold that im thinking of putting on my 99TL. has anyone tried this?

you wont get any increadible increase on power...consider changing the throttle body, or see if the type-S manifold fits.

this type-S manifold has a valve that opens at 3800rpms or something like that, it wouldnt be a simple bolt on like a 2000+ tl-p manifold seems to be

You'd need the TypeS ECU as well.

I was talking to someone from an acura dealer, "the dealer" if you know what i mean. He said that swapping the MDX Manifold would yield some nice gains, especially with an apexi vafc. Her said if it was tuned right we will see nice low to mid range torque and a nice gain in horsies up high. Now for the type s manifold, he said the imrc would be the bitch, you may have to wire that up to an rpm switch to make work. Once again you will need to tune your vtec changover points and imrc valve opening to get max performance. If you want to do a manifold swap you really should get the vafc to adjust vtec changeover and air fuel ratios to take advantage of the new manifold.
