Anybody from Northern California here? I need someone with a 2003 TL Type-S..........

Im located in the Eastbay area (Livermore) and just need someone with a 03 Type-S to try a ECU for me. Also need to cross ref a few wires on your car as well. I believe a 2002 may work as well but I believe there are some difference in ecu and wiring.

I mainly just need to find out what the drivers door wiring hooks up to and to make sure my ECU is working as should.

Thanks

go to top of page- click REGIONS
scroll thru the Bay Area Meets threads
There are many ziners in the area who can help you out
Look at the past or present meets- many people post their car year on avatar info or signature on post

or post a thread asking for help locally

The other persons car wont start if you swap and vice versa. The immobilizer is in the ECU.

Really? Ive seen some people swap out CL ECU's all the time and they started up fine. Currently I got a 03 in mine and it starts? Just wondering why it wouldnt start in the other persons car?

I dont know how thats possible at all. It shouldnt start at all if you swap. The immobilizer prevents it. The ECU has to be programmed. I know first hand that they dont when i swapped mine.

So are you saying it shouldnt start for me with the Type-S ECU? Because mine starts right up?
