Question Any members in MO?

I see quite a few East & West coasters here, Southerners and Texans, what about Midwesterners? Anybody here from/in Missouri? I see several TL's around town every day, but they all look like they are owned by accountants or 'old men'. Don't go flamin' me, accountants are good people and on this site I feel like an old man at 35. Can't believe all the teens and 20 somethings around here that drive phat TL's, do you know how long I had to work.... don't get me started. We are all fortunate, just some more than others. Speak up if you are in the area.

We have had a couple of meets in KC with people showing up from Kansas, Missouri (including St. Louis) and even Arkansas.

That's cool. I would do that. I have family in KC and lived in Topeka for 10 yrs. Kinda glad there aren't many TL ers here in town, I won't have to go to great lengths to have the badest ride in town.

I'm in St. louis, MO, but sadly with no ride. Still looking for a 2001-2002 with ~30k miles. I desperately want a TL-S with navi but it'll be hard to get it in the price range (max 20k, probably optimistic) Even so, I'd be overjoyed with a TL-P because I've taken them out for test drives and have loved them. We have a family friend who's in the car business who's looking around for us for the best deal, but we're in no rush. Hopefully when we close the deal I'll be the coolest stock TL-P in St. Louis

Hey, I am in the St. Louis area. I too see a lot of TLs running around but not many tricked out ones.

I added the dealer spoiler and Comptech headers to mine at the time of purchase but haven't done a thing to it since.

I think the brakes need somehting done to them now so that is where my money is heading.

What up? I'm on St. Louis, it's nice to see some Midwest flavor on the board! I looked about three months ago, but there was next to no one from MO on the board.

West Coast - (California)
or
East Coast - (New York and New Jersey)

I knew there had to be at least a couple around here.
Nice to see ya. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Blk, what kind of exhaust did you get? I need to go up to Midas on Page and check out their Magnaflows. I want springs too, been leaning toward H&R Sports.

Anyone comments on the Acura dealerships in St. Louis? If anyone has positive/negative experiences with Frank Leta and/or Dave Mungenast please post them or pm me.

deejaycee, let me tell you, I went to Munganast and Leta when I was looking for a used TL, Leta by far was the best. In fact the best dealer I have ever dealt with. Greg Sabath is the man you want to see at Leta. I was looking for a 2000 TLP and drove off in a 2003. Greg Sabath and Ken Plakey, the finance mgr, worked their butts off to get me the car and deal I wanted. Unbelieveable service. I live down in Crestwood so I'm not far from Leta, anytime I want I can come down and get a free wash and vac, twice a day if I want, can't say enough about them. If you go, tell Greg that Jeff referred you. They would treat you right anyway, but you will have an immediate in. I tuned them on to this site. Greg is a real car buff. I don't like talking smack about other businesses and won't about Munganast, just didn't get the same treatment cause I'm not from Wildwood. Know what I mean. I hope you go, you won't be disappointed. In fact you will probably drive off lookin' like this.

Yeah, that's the impression I got, Leta just seemed classier all-around. Pricier though, but I suppose you get what you pay for, the preowned TL-P I test drove there was in far better condition than the one at Mungenast. If I may ask, how much were you planning on spending for the 2000, and how much did you end up spending for the 2003?

Low mileage TL's are hard to find in this town. Urban sprawl, everything is 'across town'. I was looking for a '00 lease return with 36K for $18K. Mungenast had one in WDP, the color I wanted for $22K and willing to do $20,900. Leta only had one with 44K miles and would have met my price target, but we didn't get that far. I ended up leasing my '03 WDP TL for $329/mo. Supposedly that deal ended 7-31, the day I picked mine up. I wanted the lower payment with options if the car had 'issues'. Very happy so far, knock on wood.
With the service Leta gives, their cars come back in as new condition. They are a little more, but as you may have read around here, a good dealer can make all the difference. Leta will do whatever it takes to make you happy long after the sale. I talked to other customers, repeat customers too who only bought another Acura 'cause Leta doesn't sell MB or BMW. That's saying something.

jbx35, thanks for the info, hopefully the guy I have trying to find a TL for me will get it from Leta, even if not, I'll definitely get my service done there.
