Well just got a new TL and want to do a few "minor" things to it. one of them is to get the full lip kit, and i have seen AJ's website with the JDM lip kit. was wondering if that is any different than the USDM optional lip kit? i cant seem to find any pics of it. i also know their car is a 03 and i have a 01, is there any difference shape wise also?

if anyone has pictures of the USDM 01 optional lip kit please show me!!

according to them, yes it is the JDM OEM lip kit. they could not tell me if it is any different than the USDM optional one....

I have pics of the US OEM kit on my car...I don't think its the same, but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure of what you are asking.

USDM is the US version of JDM (JDM being in Japan) I'm just guessing.

They were cleared until I had headlight problems and had to replaced both assemblies. I plan on doing it again soon.

Then again, I'm not sure the body kit is different for 2nd Gen. SEARCH please!


Imported Inspire with the same kit as OEM but it could be JDM.

The new Inspire is the Accord, the old = the 2nd gen TL. I could have sworn I read that the body kits were different, but I guess not.

Yes I am a girl! Sorry guys, JDM and USDM look to be the same for 99-03. I wish someone else was here to correct me if I'm wrong.

here ill tell u as much as I know. u have an 01 so the lip kit on the TL on AJ racing wont fit yours. 01 and 02-03 kits are diffrent. Also for 99-01 I think there is the blaze kit and a valuue kit whick looks really tite but also cost an arm and a leg. If u do a search u might find pix of the blaze or the value kit which I think is JDM. Help that helps someone correct me if Im wrong.

yea the blaze kit and value kit are THE best looking kits for the 99-01 TL but the cost for shipping from Japan is a bitch! if they had it over here in the states one of those would be the number one choice in lip kits

USDM and JDM OEM kits are the same, Blaze and Value are made by different manufacturers. I had originally been thinking of the Value kit when I said that they were different. oops.

No I don't...My parents house is on a gravel road with alot of potholes, and the roads in NO and Hattiesburg suck. My houise here also has a very steep driveway. Its not practical.

the jdm and usdm kits ARE NOT the same. the look identical, but the measurements are different. I know this becuase I wanted to buy the inspire OEM bumper from Nighthawk Black, so I can have fogs...but my lip kit would not fit on the JDM bumper, so I would have had to import a new front lip as well and pay like $800 for the bumper, so I decided it was not worth it....good luck!

oh yeah, the reason it would not fit, is because the JDM kit was narrower..

the side skirts and rear skirt are the same. eitherway, they look pretty much the same except for the dimensions of the front lip.

also, JDM means Japanese Domestic Market and USDM means United States Domestic Market.

i dont know about the sideskirts, look a little bit too wild for me, and the front lip is kinda uggghhh so maybe i'll be looking only for the rear valences...

i do like the imported 01 inspire front, can anyone tell me if that lip is OEM or aftermarket? if that's OEM i may go for that one!! then that way i can get the fog lights too

The JDM front bumper has the lip as a part of the bumper not as an addon.
